Westfield Indiana has Bad Water

… and we can fix it!

Let me be clear:  the water isn’t contaminated or anything like that, but it is EXTREMELY hard.  It has nearly 30 grains of hardness (GPG) per gallon.  Hardness levels over 10.5 GPG are considered extremely hard, so 30 GPG is crazy hard… and that’s if you are on city water!  If you happen to be on well water around Westfield, Indiana, you are apt to have a whole plethora of issues.   Problems with wells in Hamilton County include iron or rust, tannin, methane, sulfur (rotten-egg odor), nitrate and manganese, to name but a few.

Westfield, Indiana was founded on May 6, 1834, by North Carolina Quakers—Asa Bales, Ambrose Osborne, Simon Moon, and Simon Barker.  It is believed that the town was planned as a stop on the Underground Railroad with many families of the Religious Society of Friends and the Wesleyan Methodist Church supporting the cause. W hen the laws against aiding escaped slaves were enforced, part of the Westfield Quaker Friends Meeting House split into the Anti-Slavery Friends meeting.   On January 1, 2008, the town of Westfield incorporated, and Andy Cook was sworn in as Mayor.

In the past few years, Westfield Indiana has seen tremendous growth as their population approaches the 40,000 range.  The Westfield Shamrocks are becoming a sports powerhouse and the Westfield schools are considered some of the best in the State of Indiana.
